Welcome
Welcome to Colon and Rectal Surgical Consultants of North Texas, CRSCNTX.
Please know that I understand that whatever brings you in is likely the result of something unpleasant, possibly embarrassing or very private. My team and I are very sensitive to your circumstances. We are here to provide you with the best possible care and together develop the best outcome for you.
I consider medicine, and surgery in particular, an absolute privilege. I have learned the body’s ability to physically heal is second only to the resilience of the human spirit. This understanding informs the relationship I have with each patient and how we move forward in partnership to create the right plan.
Early in my training to become a surgeon, I came across a quote from Guy de Chauliac who is revered as the father of surgery. His words below have long guided me to direct a surgical practice rooted in compassion and wholly focused on my patient’s needs, not simply the diagnoses. Here, you have a team fully devoted to your well-being in an intimate setting where we can focus on the details to ensure you have the best experience, the most important of which is the best outcome.
Thank you for entrusting your care to us.
Sincerely,
Sarah Y. Boostrom, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Let the Surgeon be bold in all sure things, and fearful in dangerous things; let them avoid all faulty treatments and practices. They ought to be gracious to the sick, considerate to their associates, cautious in their prognostications. Let them be modest, dignified, gentle, pitiful, and merciful; not covetous nor an extortionist of money; but rather let their reward be according to their work, to the means of the patient, to the quality of the issue, and to their own dignity.
